Pharmacist
Per diem position providing coverage 2-3 shifts per month, primarily during the academic year. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
About the role
The Pharmacist oversees the daily operation of the Brown Health Services pharmacy, including prescription processing, direct patient care, and patient counseling. The pharmacist also provides medication information and support to students, providers, and staff. Additional duties include managing inventory levels to maintain adequate stock within budget, placing and receiving orders, and performing pricing updates.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including prescription processing.
- Provide direct patient care and counseling.
- Offer medication information and support to students, providers, and staff.
- Manage inventory levels, place and receive orders, and perform pricing updates.
Requirements
- BS in Pharmacy required.
- Current RI Pharmacist license required.
- 3-5 years’ experience working in a retail pharmacy or equivalent experience.
- Experience with pharmacy software systems and electronic health records.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends during the academic year.
