Pharmaceutical Packaging Operator

Overview

A pharmaceutical company in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Pharmaceutical Packaging Operator to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. The position is located in Bethlehem, PA and offers a pay range of $22/hour. The schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Gain proficiency in procedures and attain working knowledge in operating and cleaning the following packaging equipment in order to consistently and accurately package and label finished drug product: Pharmafill Capsule Counter, Lepel Induction Sealer, CVC Labeler, CVC Hot Stamp Coder/Printer, CAP Plus Rotary Inspection Table.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and have a good knowledge of cGMPs that relate to the above.
• Maintain documentation and log books associated with the packaging area.
• Perform daily set up, cleaning, and room clearance of the packaging area.
• Maintain inventory of and account for packaging components.
• Destruction of returned and/or off-specification product.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree and/or pharmaceutical experience is preferred.
• Must be able to understand and convey the English language and have strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must have excellent attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work in a team environment.
• Must be willing and able to stand for up to eight (8) hours at a time and perform repetitive tasks.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to follow direction and work with limited supervision while still adhering to and complying with cGMP, Standard Operating Procedures, and production schedules.
• Must be flexible to work overtime, as needed, to ensure demands of product are met.
• Must be flexible to take on additional duties, as assigned.
