PGD Engineer
Solar Inverter Team Support
You would need to have a diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices to a broad variety of assignments and fields related to solar power generation. You will need to make decisions independently regarding engineering issues and processes. You will report to the Onsite Manager.
- Develop and refine troubleshooting guides for top fault codes across all inverter technologies
- Create fault code database and Do Not Reset (DNR) lists
- Use AI to create troubleshooting guides and apply engineering principles to datasets to combine information
- Be a primary technical liaison between Solar Inverter Fleet Team, ROCC, and CWE, acting independently on technical matters
- Complete process improvement assignments with broad terms, general goals, and limitations
- Work with individuals and OEMs within and outside the organization with responsibility to regarding technical matters about individual projects
- Support responses to regulatory bodies for data requests
Solar Inverter Team Support
Component failure rate analysis and development of work plans
Become a subject matter expert in at least one inverter manufacturer
Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures at solar sites
Aid field technicians and ROCC operators with troubleshooting inverter and other solar issues
Develop countermeasures for recurring issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in other engineering discipline with equivalent experience with electrical systems
- 6+ years of engineering experience
- Utility-scale inverter and power electronics experience
- Ability to work with operations teams
- Master's degree in electrical engineering preferred
- 2 years of experience with solar inverters
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Previous experience in operations support or control center environments

Pay
The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $45.00/hr. to $50.00/hr.
Schedule
This is a 1 year contract assignment.
