Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluation of acute and chronic athletic injuries
- Aid team physicians in athletic injuries
- Maintain ATR and work space cleanliness
- Develop and implement injury prevention strategies
- Practice and game medical coverage
- Acute treatment of athletic injuries
- Implement emergency action plans as needed
- Appropriately apply therapeutic modalities to student-athletes
- Develop and execute injury specific rehabilitation plans
- Aid with supply inventory and ordering
- File insurance claims for athletic injuries
- Maintain detailed medical records of student-athletes
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field from a CAATE accredited athletic training education program
- 0–1-year experience in sports medicine, physical therapy and/or athletic training
- NATA-BOC certification and Indiana Athletic Training License, Indiana Physical Therapy License if employee has Physical Therapy degree
- Ability to carry and lift coolers of ice, water, and medical equipment
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with Purdue University Motor Vehicle Records Check policy
- Frequent weekend availability
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Athletic Training or a related field from a CAATE accredited athletic training education program
