About the role
California State University, East Bay seeks two full-time Athletic Trainers to provide medical coverage, prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries for NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide athletic training services for assigned sports, including but not limited to: injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries.
- Administer first aid and emergency care as needed.
- Develop and implement injury prevention programs.
- Coordinate and schedule medical coverage for practices, competitions, and team travel.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Collaborate with team physicians, coaches, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist with the education and supervision of student athletic trainers.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and university regulations regarding athletic healthcare.
- Participate in departmental meetings, in-service training, and professional development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers.
- Current California state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Athletic Trainer.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a certified athletic trainer, preferably in a collegiate setting.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Pay
$53,784 - $71,796 annually
