About the Role

As a PET Technologist, you will perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment, aligning all stakeholders—patients, providers, payors, and regulators—to achieve the best clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
- Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, including starting IVs and injecting contrast if needed.
- Guide patients through the exam process by explaining steps and addressing their questions or concerns.
- Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
- Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
- Demonstrate competency in safeguarding patient property and Patient Health Information (PHI).
- Safeguard on-site medications in accordance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
- Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information.
- Exhibit and maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
- Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
- Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
Requirements
- Current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
- Venipuncture certification/permit.
- BLS certification.
- At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Pay
$52.00–$65.00 per hour.
