Pet Groomer

About the role

We are looking to hire a full-time groomer/pet stylist for our busy general practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced groomer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services, including clipping, medicated and general cleansing, parasite control baths, pedicures, medicated dips, and ear cleansing, as requested for each pet
• Groom several dogs per day in a busy practice environment
• Maintain a proper grooming room, including cleaning cages, tubs, and grooming tables; vacuuming and mopping the floor; cleaning clipper blades, scissors, and brushes after use
• Recommend retail products that would aid in home grooming care of pets
• Regular on-site presence is required to support patient care, respond to time-sensitive needs, collaborate with clinical teams, and maintain the safety and well-being of patients, clients, and staff

Requirements

• 2 years of prior grooming experience
• Excellent verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service
• Familiarity with standard cuts for all breeds of dogs and cats
• Strong animal handling skills
• Reliable, team-oriented with a positive attitude and great work ethic
• Ability to maintain a clean and healthy environment for clients
