PET/CT Technologist

Job Description

Competitive pay and benefits, including a sign-on bonus, are offered. Scope: Responsible for coordinating and administering all CT/Sims and diagnostic radiologic exams; ensuring technical quality and timely transfer of data; and fabricating necessary immobilization devices as needed.

• Administer radioactive tracer (F18 FDG) as well as IV contrast.
• Perform and maintain quality control procedures for PET imaging.
• Perform functional imaging (PET) scans for diagnostic purposes.
• Perform diagnostic CT scans for routine radiologic exams.
• Perform CT scans for radiation treatment planning purposes.
• Fabricate immobilization and other treatment devices.
• Perform chest x-rays.
• Engage in rotational call.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology.
• Registered by ARRT and NMTCB with a current license by the state of Louisiana.
• 2 years experience as nuclear medicine technologist.
• 2 years experience as radiological technologist.
• CT experience preferred.
• Phlebotomist training preferred.
