Pest Control Technician

About the Role

As a Pest Control Technician, you will perform industry-leading pest management services for residential customers. Your role involves identifying and eliminating pests by conducting thorough inspections, applying appropriate treatments, and providing preventative measures—all while adhering to safety regulations and communicating effectively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of client properties to identify signs of pest infestations, damage, and entry points.
• Apply approved pest control products, including chemicals, baits, and traps, to effectively eliminate pests while adhering to safety standards.
• Educate customers on pest prevention methods and the importance of maintaining a pest-free environment, including advice on reducing future infestations.
• Build relationships with customers, schedule and confirm appointments, assist with sales to current customers, and expand services to new customers.
• Ensure all pest control equipment is properly maintained, stocked, and in good working condition.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding pest control products and safety protocols.
• Drive and safely operate a company-provided service vehicle (routine maintenance included).

Essential Job Functions

• Work in tight, confined spaces such as basements, attics, crawl spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways.
• Work around animals, insects, termites, mechanical parts, vehicles, electrical current, heights, scaffolding, fumes, dust, and chemicals (training provided).
• Work both inside and outside in local climate conditions while wearing company-provided weather gear.
• Frequent physical activity including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and navigating stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), such as an OSHA-compliant respirator.

Requirements

• Clean-shaven face for safety reasons (rebreathers must seal properly).
• High school diploma or GED; related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license from state of residence (company vehicle and gas card provided).
• Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by the company).
• Availability to work Monday–Friday and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to learn and become knowledgeable in all areas of pest control.
• Solid reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math skills for following product label instructions.
• Customer-facing experience preferred.

Pay

Hourly: $17.00 – $23.00

This role involves working within customer residences, properties, and businesses—often unsupervised—and may include access to vulnerable populations, company and customer records (including personal and financial information), regulated chemicals, and company vehicles. Employees must resolve conflicts professionally and drive safely as a primary duty.
