Personnel Attendant-Caregiver

About the role

We are looking for experienced, dedicated, and dependable professionals who enjoy working with the elderly and are committed to improving their quality of life. You can start working one-on-one with clients who have Alzheimer’s, dementia, and hospice needs on an ongoing basis. Positions are available in West Hollywood, Van Nuys, North Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Santa Monica, Venice, and surrounding areas with both female and male clients. 7-day availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with daily living (ADLs)
• Bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Transferring and assisting with walking/ambulation
• Cooking and meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Companionship
• Medication reminders
• Running errands
• Driving and/or accompanying clients to appointments

Requirements

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) – a California state requirement involving registration as a Personal Attendant and Livescan fingerprints for an FBI background check (Salus can assist with this process if you are not currently certified)
• TB test within 90 days of start date
• Legal authorization to work in the USA
• Physical capability to perform all job functions
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if driving clients
• Ability to speak, write, and read English

Pay

• Live-in position: $18.42/hour with overtime after 9 hours
• Morning and day shifts (4-6 hours): $20.00–$23.00/hour
• 8-12 hour shifts: $19.00–$20.00/hour
• Mileage reimbursement for driving clients

Schedule

• Flexible shifts available: mornings, days, and overnights
• 4-6 hour shifts
• 8-12 hour shifts
• Live-in positions
• Start within 72 hours of hire
