Personnel Attendant-Caregiver

About the role

We are looking for experienced, dedicated, and dependable professionals who enjoy working with the elderly and are committed to help improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 care with clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and hospice
• Assistance with daily living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, and assisting with walking/ambulation
• Cooking and meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Companionship and medication reminders
• Running errands and driving and/or accompanying clients to appointments

Requirements

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) — CA State requirement; Livescan fingerprints and FBI background check required (Salus can assist with certification if not currently certified)
• TB test within 90 days of start
• Legal ability to work within the USA
• Physical capability to perform all job functions
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if driving with clients
• Ability to speak, write, and read English

Schedule

• Flexible schedule available: mornings, day shifts, and overnights
• Start within 72 hours; immediate work available
• 7 days availability
• 4–6 hour shifts available
• 8–12 hour shifts available
• Live-in position available

Pay

• 4–6 hour shifts: $20.00–$23.00 per hour
• 8–12 hour shifts: $19.00–$20.00 per hour
• Live-in position: $18.42 per hour with overtime after 9 hours
