Personnel Attendant-Caregiver

We are looking for experienced, dedicated, and dependable professionals who enjoy working with the elderly and are committed to help improve their quality of life.

About the role

You can start working 1:1 with clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and hospice on an ongoing basis. Positions are available in Sherman Oaks, Burbank, Glendale, and surrounding areas for both female and male clients. 7-day availability required; start within 72 hours and begin work as soon as hired.

• Mornings and day shifts (4–6 hour shifts) pay $20.00–$23.00 per hour
• Overnight shifts (8–12 hour shifts) pay $19.00–$20.00 per hour
• Live-in position pays $18.42 per hour with overtime after 9 hours
• Drivers needed for errands and appointments

Responsibilities

• Assistance with daily living (ADLs)
• Bathing, dressing, toileting, and transferring
• Assisting with walking/ambulation
• Cooking and meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Companionship
• Medication reminders
• Running errands
• Driving and/or accompanying clients to appointments

Requirements

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) – California state requirement involving registration as a Personal Attendant and Livescan fingerprints for an FBI background check (Salus can assist with certification if needed)
• TB test within 90 days of start date
• Legal authorization to work in the USA
• Physical capability to perform all job functions
• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if driving clients
• Ability to speak, write, and read English
