Personnel Assistant III - Employment
About the role
The Personnel Assistant (Employment) III supports military personnel administration activities at NIWC Atlantic in Norfolk, Virginia. This role provides administrative support to the Military Administrative Office.
Responsibilities
- Process military personnel award recommendations and assist in developing certificates, plaques, and other award artifacts.
- Support presentation of military awards during formal and informal ceremonies.
- Aid military personnel with manpower and pay-related administrative processes.
- Process paperwork with the local Personnel Support Detachment (PSD).
- Aid in gaining, transferring, temporary duty (I-stop), separating, and retiring military personnel.
- Aid with limited duty coordination, reservist administration, and manpower billet reviews.
- Aid with preparation of military evaluations, fitness reports, and advancement nominations.
- Prepare, edit, route, and maintain military administrative correspondence and records.
- Perform data entry, tracking, and reporting of personnel actions.
- Support administration and delivery of military indoctrination.

Working Conditions
Work is performed 100% on-site at a government facility in Norfolk, VA. Position requires interaction with military personnel, civilian staff, and administrative offices.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift 50Lbs.
