Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Distribute work instructions to all HR sections, as needed.
  • Prepare packets for early release from active duty.
  • Facilitate the request of medical evaluation orders publication after medical provider recommendation.
  • Congduct in/out processing for mob and demobing units and individual Soldiers.
  • Prepare and process administrative chapters.
  • Request for temporary change of station orders.
  • Process leaves and passes for mob/demobing Soldiers.
  • Conduct daily mailroom operations, pick up mail from installation post office.
  • Prepare routine correspondence for MD (GSO) Mob Chief signature.
  • Update information in eMILPO, MARRS-N, iPERMS, and DAMPS.
  • Maintain constant knowledge and competency of all changes, additions or deletions as they pertain to your job. Keep an updated Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for your area of work. In the event of your absence, your SOP will be utilized to ensure the mission does not falter.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc).
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard.
  • Must have a working knowledge of mobilization/demobilization operations IAW FORSCOM Regulation 500-3-1 thru 500-3-5.
  • Must have the appropriate qualifications, certification, and/or license under the requirements for the task area being performed under this contract prior to commencement of work.
  • Must able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Education and/or Experience

  • At a minimum, possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Preferred minimum 3 years military personnel experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Languages Skills

  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources.
  • Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to senior management, contracting officials, clients and other employees in the organization.

Reasoning Ability

  • The ability to organize work, define and solve problems, establish and manage priorities, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions based on facts.
  • The ability to analyze a situation analytically, evaluate the facts/data and formulate a plan of action.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must possess a valid U.S. state driver’s license, applicable for the type and class of vehicle being operated.

  • Duties are primarily performed in an office environment; however, travel to off-site projects may involve work outdoors; in warehouses; supply points; motor pools; maintenance facilities; etc. for short periods of time.
