Personal Trainer @ HNH Fitness (per diem)

About the role

As a Personal Trainer, you will be part of a cohesive, integrated team working to better understand an individual's health and fitness status. You will develop, deliver, and monitor programs to improve individuals' and teams' health, wellness, and performance goals. You will also develop outreach into the community through schools, community programs, small businesses, corporations, and public sector services and staff.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal communication—ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations
• Ability to work with individuals and groups
• Highly energetic, outgoing, friendly, self-starter, takes initiative, can multi-task well, with attention to detail, effective time management
• Knowledge of emerging best practices within the health and fitness industry
• Perform fitness assessments/evaluations to develop individualized programs for clients to meet specific goals
• Assist in the development and refinement of exercise programs
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the gym floor
• Generate new clients/members
• Contribute to marketing efforts through community events
• Ability to integrate with the Human Performance team: Physician, Rehab, Nutrition, Psychology, Sleep, etc.
• Any other duties required by the manager

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in exercise science, kinesiology, exercise physiology, athletic training, or physical education required

Experience Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience required
• Two to three years preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• CPTR - Certified Personal Trainer upon hire required
• CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation upon hire required
• NASM - Fitness Instructor Certification preferred
• ACE - Advanced Health & Fitness Specialist preferred
• ACSM - Clinical Exercise Specialist preferred
