Manager, Training
About the Role
The Manager, Technical & Regulatory Training is responsible for coordinating all customers, technical, and regulatory training requirements and for overall management of the training program.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the processes for identifying training needs for all technical personnel, both initial and recurrent.
- Supervising, leading, and directing instructors in planning, organizing, and performing training.
- Coordinating training as part of the new hire/orientation process.
- Coordinating training for specific functions, including RII, departmental OJT, procedural/process training, safety training, etc.
- Maintaining a current and accurate FAA-approved training program document as required by Section 6.
- Obtaining all required FAA approvals for the training program and revisions in conjunction with the Director of Quality.
- Identifying options for training that meet the training needs, such as classroom, on-the-job, distance learning, or computer-based instruction.
- Coordinating the training process decisions with the Director of Quality and with the Director of Engineering.
- Maintaining and ensuring the system of record keeping for all technical training records.
- Initiating periodic audits of training records and ensuring correction of any discrepancies found.
- Maintaining employment Summary Forms.
- Providing company educational training, certification, qualification, and other allied programs to improve overall efficiency, certification, and competency of individual employees and the total workforce.
- Acting on behalf of the Trainer in their absence, or delegating an appropriate Subject Matter Expert (S.M.E.).
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
This position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual admitted as a refugee or granted asylum).
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, or eight years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
