About the role
Under the supervision of the LPN, the Personal Support Worker (PSW) provides person-centered support to residents by assisting with daily activities, mobility, meals, hydration, recreation and companionship.
Responsibilities
- Maintains clean, safe and welcoming resident and common areas
- Supports laundry and stocking of supplies
- Reports resident concerns or changes to the appropriate supervisor
- Promotes resident dignity, choice, independence, safety and confidentiality
- Works collaboratively with the care team
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Caring and respectful approach to seniors
- Ability to be dependable, flexible and attentive to detail
Qualifications
- Experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is an asset
Pay
$17.12-$21.63 hourly
Schedule
Permanent Part Time, 0.7 FTE, bi-weekly hours: 54.25
