Job Summary

At The Cincinnati Insurance Companies, we seek to hire extraordinary individuals who share our values and mission. Our Personal Lines department is seeking a risk management territory advisor to join our team. This role requires field-based inspections of high-value homes and provides expert replacement cost valuations along with loss prevention recommendations.

About the Role

The risk management territory advisor will cover a multi-state territory in the Southwestern US and will involve significant travel. Remote positions may be available for certain territories away from our headquarters in Fairfield, Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed field inspections to determine accurate replacement cost valuations
  • Audit risk acceptability and identify potential loss hazards
  • Provide clear and actionable loss prevention recommendations
  • Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and communicate them to the marketing and underwriting teams
  • Interview contractors regularly to stay informed on current construction costs and building trends in your territory

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of building techniques, materials, and designer-grade interior finishes
  • Exceptional understanding of risk factors including protection class, building materials, and hazard identification
  • Professionalism, tact, and strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong math, verbal communication, and creative problem-solving skills
  • The ability to manage client and agency relationships using effective conflict resolution techniques
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with agents, underwriting, and marketing teams

Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience in insurance inspections, property valuation, construction, or high-value property claims
  • Experience in training or instructing others (preferred)

Benefits

We offer a competitive starting pay range of $70,000 - $135,000 annually, which is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
