About the Role
At Risk Placement Services (RPS), we’re one of the largest Specialty Wholesale Insurance Brokerage firms in the U.S., thriving on teamwork, creativity, and responsiveness. As an Underwriter/Broker, you’ll play a key role in fostering revenue growth by delivering efficient underwriting services and connecting retail agents with national markets.
Responsibilities
- Actively network and build relationships with independent retail agents and carrier underwriters.
- Prospect for new business and pre-qualify submissions to focus on high-probability opportunities.
- Analyze submissions to determine the best carrier, coverage, and premium.
- Develop expertise in insurance solutions for specific product lines and industry segments.
- Stay updated on industry trends to adapt underwriting strategies.
- Ensure business partners understand RPS’s full range of risk solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- At least 5 years of related work experience.
- Business development and relationship management skills.
- Home state P&C license.
- Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Passion for building trust and delivering exceptional service.
