Personal Lines - Marketing Representative

Job Summary

The Personal Lines department at The Cincinnati Insurance Companies is seeking a field marketing representative for the North Carolina and South Carolina territory. This role aims to drive profitable premium growth by engaging and managing independent agents to sell and support Cincinnati Insurance's Personal Lines products and services.

Responsibilities

• Direct regional marketing plans, strategies, and tactics to achieve agency goals, such as increasing profitability, motivating agents, and effectively managing expenses.
• Develop agency relationships that foster long-term partnerships to maintain and drive profitability.
• Review territory to drive new, profitable business growth and identify under-performing agencies.
• Understand and effectively leverage agency business opportunities, needs, and performance objectives.
• Assist in training and marketing support of new agents or customer support representatives.
• Work with underwriting to address agency issues including profitability, retention, and matters related to agency personnel.
• Assume accountability for all aspects of agency management including training, agency reviews, and new business assessment plans.
• Overnight travel may be required.

Requirements

• The ability to develop positive relationships with agency personnel and field associates.
• The ability to make sound decisions based on information presented.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with an emphasis in customer service, including phone contact with agents.
• A proficiency in using Microsoft® Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• The ability to prioritize work and think independently, quickly, and effectively.
• A willingness to work and learn with a sense of urgency as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong attention to detail.
• A creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to be open and flexible to change.

• A diamond processing and issuing system ability.
• The ability to navigate web-based applications.
• To complete web-based research as needed.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree - or - three or more years of experience with personal lines insurance, preferably in a marketing or underwriting position.

Pay and Benefits

Starting salary: The pay range for this position is $80,000-$135,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
