Personal Lines Insurance Specialist
About the Role
The Benefits Account Manager supports the sales of and provides service for customers. This role is responsible for changes, updates, and value-added services. This role is in no way related to the administration of employee benefits such as one might see in a company Human Resources Department. This role supports the sale of employee benefits to organizations. This is a full-time, onsite role.
Responsibilities
- Process policy changes and respond to enquiries with the utmost professionalism and timeliness
- Answer client’s questions regarding payments and notices
- Process endorsements for clients
- Manage a diverse book of house accounts
- Cross-sell additional lines of business to existing customers
- Support designated staff
- Review and respond to renewal activities
- Follow up and see tasks through to completion
- Always protect the best interest of both the company and the customer
Requirements
- Experienced in supporting the sale of employee benefits
- Ability to successfully manage different projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Current license required (appropriate to the line of business)
- Quick learner who can integrate new knowledge rapidly
- Computer literate, ready to use and learn technology (various portals and software programs)
- Strong communication skills—ability to speak and write clearly and calmly, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Highly organized with the ability to plan and operate efficiently
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and good energy in the workplace
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
