About the Role
The Personal Lines New Business Producer is responsible for building and continuously growing a personal client insurance portfolio by developing new business opportunities and cultivating long-term client relationships. This role conducts proactive insurance reviews, assesses risk exposures, and designs customized insurance solutions to meet each client's unique needs. The Producer presents and sells tailored insurance proposals while serving as a trusted advisor throughout the client relationship.
Responsibilities
- Build strong relationships that foster trust and client loyalty through networking and transactions (some travel required).
- Develop and work generated leads from one of the largest community banks in NJ, independently and through referrals from current clients and centers of influence.
- Conduct policy reviews and provide risk management recommendations.
- Quote and design proposal options with contracted carriers and present them to clients.
- Issue and bind policies for clients within carrier portals and document them in agency management systems.
- Collaborate with Service Team members daily to ensure a smooth transition from new sale to servicing of the insurance portfolio by the Account Manager, including assisting with possible administrative tasks post-bind.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid Property & Casualty license preferred but not required.
- Experienced insurance professional preferred but not required.
- Previous sales experience preferred but not required.
- 1-3 years of customer service industry experience.
- Administrative work experience is helpful but not required.
- Valid Driver’s License.

Working Conditions
- Prolonged sitting.
- Lifting from 5 to 10 lbs (e.g., printer paper, storage boxes).
- Occasional bending or overhead lifting (e.g., storing files or boxes).
- Work is performed in a normal office environment with moderate noise levels.
- May involve travel to customers and property locations.
Hazards
The hazards are mainly those present in a normal office setting and those associated with commuting by car. Occasionally, exposure to conditions present in public forums and meeting places may occur.
Pay
$45,000 - $75,000 annually. The base pay offered may vary based on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, education, geographic location, internal equity, and other applicable business and organizational needs. This role is incentive-eligible based on company, business, and/or individual goal achievement and performance.
