About the role

The Cincinnati Insurance Companies' Personal Lines Filings Management Group is currently seeking a Personal Form & Rate Analyst.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and submit filings to the Department of Insurance (DOI) for new and revised products.
  • Create, update, and maintain state-specific forms and rules in the state rating manuals to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  • Understand DOI requirements for various types of filings to ensure successful approval by state DOIs.
  • Proactively communicate with state DOIs and internal stakeholders regarding filing updates, questions, and status.
  • Utilize negotiating skills when working with state departments of insurance.
  • Identify problems, make recommendations, and solicit feedback from Product, Underwriting, Claims, and Corporate Legal when needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with DOIs.
  • Research statutes, bills, ISO circulars, PCI announcements, and competitor intelligence filings to determine necessary actions and communicate them to management, Product, Claims, and Corporate Legal.
  • Manage work based on multiple timelines.
  • Work independently within an agile environment, while effectively collaborating and engaging with teams divided by line of business.

Qualifications

  • Strongly prefer a bachelor’s degree OR prior insurance experience.
  • An AINS certificate or actively working toward one is preferred.

Pay

Starting pay for this position is $45,000 - $85,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
