About the Role

Our client, a prominent Long Island-based Personal Injury Law Firm specializing in Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice, Workers' Compensation, and Mass Tort, is seeking a Personal Injury Attorney to join their team of top-rated attorneys. This is a full-time, in-office position.

Responsibilities

• Meet with potential clients to assess their cases, provide legal advice, and outline possible courses of action.
• Conduct legal research and case preparation by investigating accident reports, medical records, and witness statements.
• Gather and analyze evidence to build a strong case, consulting with medical experts, accident reconstruction specialists, and other professionals.
• Negotiate with insurance companies and opposing counsel to maximize settlement amounts before proceeding to trial.
• Draft legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and depositions; present arguments, question witnesses, and advocate on behalf of clients.
• Keep clients informed about case progress and legal strategies.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.
• Experience in plaintiff-side personal injury law preferred.

Pay

Annual salary range: $135,000 – $160,000 USD.
