Responsibilities

  • Client Service
    • Assign cases to Case Managers.
    • Conduct attorney reviews of all non-priority cases.
    • Maintain departmental standards in terms of client contact percentage & checklist items.
    • Communicate with clients to promote world-class client service.
    • Handle escalated calls requiring attorney communication.
    • Supervise Case Management Supervisor.
    • Attend and participate in weekly pre-litigation conferences.
    • Determine whether to present offers to clients or consider litigation.
    • Review client surveys and address items needing improvement.
    • Assist with annual reviews for Case Management team members.
    • Manage employee issues in collaboration with the firm's HR Director.
    • Communicate with external parties to facilitate case progress.
    • Answer questions from Case Managers and Case Management Supervisor.
    • Process loan requests/documents.
  • Medical Records
    • Oversee all aspects of the medical records department.
    • Maintain case flow and ensure timely A/S reviews.
    • Monitor and release clients as necessary.
    • Address questions from Medical Records Supervisor and other members of the department.
    • Ensure all metrics are satisfied.
    • Identify treatment related to auto accident-induced injuries.
    • Resolve issues with medical records staff.
  • Settlement
    • Perform settlement appointments regularly.
    • Strategize to improve case value for clients.
    • Improve time-on-desk metrics for CSS and Medical Records departments.
    • Analyze files ready for A/S using Litify reports.
    • Review Settlement Memos for accuracy.
    • Answer questions from other attorneys and team members regarding settlements.
    • Handle conversations with adjusters regarding post-settlement issues.
    • Employ the DLAW method of asking for referrals during disbursements.

    Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school.
    • Admission in good standing to NC State Bar; admission to SC State Bar a plus.
    • Minimum of 2 years of personal injury practice experience required.
    • Passion for client service and building a world-class operation.
    • Strong supervisory experience preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task and maintain high attention to detail.
    • Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Independent work capability in a fast-paced, high-volume practice.
    • Highest level of personal integrity, client confidentiality, and adherence to ethical standards.
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and ability to learn and use various software programs.
    • Experience using Litify or other CRM software preferred.
    • Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
