Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
About the Role
As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you'll provide hands-on support to participants in our Day Center, helping them live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. You'll build meaningful relationships while assisting with daily activities and creating a welcoming environment where participants can thrive.
Responsibilities
- Assist participants with daily living activities, including grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and meals.
- Support safe arrivals, departures, and transfers.
- Assist with participant care during transportation and medical appointments.
- Observe and report changes in participant health or well-being.
- Encourage engagement through group and individual activities.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Complete documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- PCA or CNA certification preferred.
- At least one year of experience working with elderly or frail individuals preferred.
- Current immunizations and medical clearance required prior to participant contact.
