Personal Care Assistant (Caregiver)

About the role

At Wallick Senior Living, we are hiring Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our team in multiple locations in Columbus, including The Ashford on Broad, Oakleaf Village Columbus, The Ashford at Sturbridge, and The Ashford of Grove City. This is a full-time or per diem position.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal service and daily care to residents.
• Perform physical resident care including all aspects of personal hygiene and grooming.
• Answer call lights promptly and respond to resident and family needs.
• Motivate and encourage resident participation in activities.
• Absorb residents to and from activities, dining room, and other functions within the community.
• Lift, turn, and reposition residents as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR certified. Nurse Aide certification is a plus but not required.
• Effective communication skills to interact with co-workers, residents, family members, and peers.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
• Previous experience working in an Assisted Living or Memory Care Community is a plus.

Qualifications

• Organized and self-motivated to do a great job for our residents.
• Ability to perform lifting, turning, and repositioning tasks as needed.

Pay

$16/hour plus shift differential.
