Personal Care Assistant

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic domestic services (i.e. meal prep, laundry, light housework).
  • Aid with mobility issues, assist participants getting in and out of bed, wheelchair, etc.
  • Remind clients to take medications.
  • Support personal hygiene tasks (brushing teeth, toileting, bathing), changing bed linens, and daily activities based on participants' limitations and needs.
  • Offer a caring and positive presence for participants.
  • Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
  • Qualifications

    • High School Diploma, GED, advanced degree or credits preferred, or combination of education and/or experience.
    • Minimum one year of experience working in a healthcare setting preferred.
    • High energy level, superior interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a team atmosphere.

The CRP site is a five bed Residential Treatment Programs that specializes in providing the supported housing services to individuals transitioning from and/or awaiting admission to a higher level of care. This treatment site are known to have a progressive reputation of providing comprehensive clinical, nursing, medical, case management services and life skills to adults living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) or Serious and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) or complex medical needs. The participants residing in this treatment facility are seeking independent home-like living.
