Personal Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to seniors, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Afford assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
• Offer medication reminders and assist with client appointments.
• Help with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, meal preparation, and ensuring a clean and safe living environment.
• Engage in activities to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
• Monitor and report any changes in the client’s condition to supervisors.
• Provide companionship and ensure a caring, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a current Home Care Aide (HCA) registered with the California Department of Social Services.
• TB test must be current (within the last 24 months).
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
• Must pass a background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to assist with mobility aids and transfers.
