Personal Care Aides (PCAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs)
About the role
Attentive Care is a licensed home health care agency providing compassionate in-home support for individuals who want to remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home. Our services include nursing support, personal care, home health aide services, and companion care, with a focus on delivering respectful, dependable care that supports each client's daily needs and overall well-being. As a PCA or HHA with Attentive Care, you will play an important role in helping clients maintain dignity, comfort, and quality of life in their own homes.
We proudly provide services throughout New York's Capital District, including Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, Columbia, and Saratoga Counties, with opportunities available in communities including but not limited to: Albany County, Rensselaer County, Saratoga County, Columbia County, and Montgomery County.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance with daily living activities and hygiene needs
- Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and household tasks
- Offer companionship and emotional support during in-home care visits
- Assist with errands and transportation-related tasks when needed
- Maintain reliable, compassionate one-on-one care in clients' homes
Requirements
- Hold a New York State PCA or HHA certification
- Recent experience working under a New York State PCA or HHA certification through a licensed agency within the past 2 years
- Residence within 25 miles of the job location
- Ability to lift and transfer clients averaging 150 lbs, with or without assistance, on a frequent basis
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience assisting clients with personal care and daily living tasks
- Background in senior care, including memory care or dementia care
- Reliable transportation for travel to client homes across the Capital District
- Availability for weekend shifts
