Personal Care Aides (PCAs) and Home Health Aides (HHAs)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance with daily living activities and hygiene needs
• Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and household tasks
• Offer companionship and emotional support during in-home care visits
• Aid with errands and transportation-related tasks when needed
• Maintain reliable, compassionate one-on-one care in clients' homes

Requirements

• Hold a New York State PCA or HHA certification
• Recent experience working under a New York State PCA or HHA certification through a licensed agency within the past 2 years
• Residence within 25 miles of the job location
• Ability to lift and transfer clients averaging 150 lbs, with or without assistance, on a frequent basis
• Communicate effectively in English
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States
• Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience assisting clients with personal care and daily living tasks
• Background in senior care, including memory care or dementia care
• Reliable transportation for travel to client homes across the Capital District, including Saratoga Springs, Clifton Park, Albany, Troy, Schenectady, East Greenbush, Valatie, and Guilderland
• Availability for weekend shifts
