The Personal Banker (Member Service Representative III) position at SchoolsFirst FCU is responsible for providing high-quality member service, promoting credit union products and services, processing transactions, and assisting members with account issues. Responsibilities
- Provides world-class member service to members visiting branch/service center locations.
- Processes transactions in areas of savings, consumer loans, real estate loans, and auxiliary credit union services.
- Delivers world-class face-to-face service to members requesting account assistance.
- Assesses member needs, addresses concerns, and gains agreement on credit union products and services.
- Manages new memberships, additional share accounts, savings services, loan requests, and loan fundings.
- Completes documentation for accounts and loans according to credit union procedures.
- Maintains cash and negotiable items.
- May act as a branch liaison to support departments.
- Provides suggestions for streamlining department and credit union operations.
- Performs various file maintenance tasks, including processing requests for a change of address, check orders, and ordering ATM cards.
- May take on vault custodian duties as assigned.
- Provides consultative services to members regarding credit union products and services by assessing their needs, addressing concerns, and gaining agreement.
- Completes documentation for accounts and loans according to credit union procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements, including BSA regulations relevant to their specific job duties.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Three to five years of prior related experience are required.
- A Notary License is required.
- Participation in the CA DMV pull program may be required depending on assignment.
Skills
Knowledge of credit union savings and loan products and services, and ability to perform specialized tasks such as research, documentation, and file maintenance are essential. Specific knowledge of a specialty area of expertise in the branch (savings, consumer, or real estate loans) is preferred.
