Personal Banker II
About the role
At WSFS Bank, Personal Bankers provide products and services to enhance customer relationships. The role involves getting to know customers, understanding and educating them about their financial needs, and recommending appropriate products and services through in-person interactions and outbound calling efforts. Personal Bankers open new accounts, submit loan applications, comply with bank policies and regulatory requirements, resolve customer service issues, perform account maintenance, and promote digital banking services. They also assist with teller transactions, processing them in a timely, efficient, accurate, and friendly manner.
WSFS Bank offers a continuous learning environment with a 4-6 month training program that includes classroom and hands-on experiences. Training covers transaction processing, account opening, referral techniques, customer service, and relationship-building methods to expand the branch's customer base.
Responsibilities
- Provide products and services to enhance customer relationships.
- Educate customers about financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
- Open new accounts and submit loan applications.
- Comply with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory banking requirements.
- Resolve customer service issues and perform account maintenance requests.
- Promote and recommend the Bank’s digital banking services.
- Assist customers with teller transactions, processing them accurately and efficiently.
- Engage in outbound calling efforts to expand the customer base.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least one year of face-to-face customer service experience.
- Previous cash handling experience is required.
- Prior sales experience is required.
- Proven ability to work with customers in an enthusiastic manner.
- Previous experience in a retail sales environment is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability for attention to detail.
- Ability to use and learn multiple banking and software programs.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to market Bank products and services.
- One year of previous banking experience preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa support.
Schedule
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with a flexible rotating weekly schedule. The schedule includes:
- Monday - Friday: 8 AM – 6 PM
- Saturday: 9 AM – 1 PM (2-3 Saturdays per month required)
Schedule may change based on business needs.
Pay
Salary Range: $37,440 - $52,800. Individual base pay may vary based on experience, job-related skills, relevant education, geographic location, and other business and organizational needs.
Eligible Associates may receive discretionary and formula-based incentive and retention awards in addition to base salary.
