About the role

The Personal Banker I plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering strong customer relationships. This position is the first point of contact for customers and is responsible for engaging in meaningful interactions and assisting with various banking transactions.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions through teller equipment on all retail and corporate accounts, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and cash advances.
• Demonstrate a consultative sales approach to build customer relationships by offering additional products and services such as checking, savings, credit cards, loans, and digital banking.
• Effectively utilize customer conversations and lobby engagement while maintaining the highest level of professional integrity and ethics.
• Initiate new customer relationships through outbound calling efforts and contribute to the growth and retention of deposit and loan customers.
• Maintain arithmetic skills to count money accurately and computer literacy to access account information and process transactions.
• Develop a thorough knowledge of Bank products and guidelines by attending required classes.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma/GED is required.
• A college degree or a minimum of six months customer service experience is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, including professional grammar and demeanor.
• Ability to travel as needed to attend training sessions.
