About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences by building relationships, proposing financial solutions, and assisting with account openings, service requests, and credit applications.

Responsibilities

• Build customer relationships through proactive outreach and propose appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially.
• Assist customers with basic requests, including opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications.
• Develop an understanding of bank products and services to connect them to customer needs.
• Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships, providing appropriate options for bank products and services.
• Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed.
• Comply with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and all related regulations, including meeting Loan Originator (LO) requirements under Regulation Z.
• Maintain a cash drawer, handle cash balancing, and complete service-related tasks as needed.
• Identify potential fraud or risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss.

Requirements

• 6+ months of customer interaction experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• SAFE registration is required at the time of employment; Wells Fargo will initiate the process after your start date.
• Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
• Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards.
• Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all regulatory requirements, including acceptable background investigation results.

Qualifications

• Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
• Ability to proactively engage with customers through outreach via phone or email.
• Experience educating customers on technology and sharing the value of mobile banking options.
• Ability to help customers succeed financially by offering introductions to additional team members as appropriate.
• Experience working with others on a team to meet customer needs and fostering strong customer relationships.
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal partners and follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Relevant military experience, including working with military protocol, personnel benefits management, or human resources.
• Proficient in proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.

Pay

$23.00 - $31.00 per hour. Pay may vary depending on factors including prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Schedule

This role may require working most Saturdays.

Locations: Multiple branches in Rancho Santa Margarita, Irvine, Foothill Ranch, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Tustin, CA.
