About the Role

Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. This role focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences by building relationships, proposing financial solutions, and assisting with account openings, service requests, and credit applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in delivering an exceptional customer experience through proactive outreach and relationship-building.
• Propose appropriate products, services, and digital solutions to help customers succeed financially.
• Assist customers with basic requests, including opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications.
• Develop an understanding of bank products and services to connect with customer needs.
• Interact with customers to demonstrate care and build relationships.
• Provide appropriate options for bank products and services.
• Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners as needed.
• Maintain cash drawer, handle cash balancing, and complete service-related tasks.
• Identify potential fraud/risky accounts and take appropriate action to prevent loss.
• Comply with S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act requirements, including ongoing regulatory and background checks.

Requirements

• 6+ months of customer interaction experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• SAFE registration required at the time of employment (Wells Fargo will initiate the process).
• Must meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements for Loan Originator (LO) positions, including financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness, and criminal background standards.
• Ability to work a schedule that may include most Saturdays.

• Customer service focus with experience handling complex transactions across multiple systems.
• Experience proactively engaging with customers through outreach via phone or email.
• Ability to educate customers on technology and mobile banking options.
• Experience fostering and developing strong customer relationships.
• Ability to build relationships with internal partners and follow policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Ability to interact with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members.
• Relevant military experience, including working with military protocol, personnel benefits management, or human resources.
• Proficient in proactively sourcing, acquiring, building, and maintaining relationships with customers and colleagues.
• Support customers and employees in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.

Pay

$23.00 - $31.00 per hour. Pay may vary based on factors such as prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.

Schedule

This role may require working most Saturdays.

Locations: Multiple branches in Rancho Santa Margarita, Irvine, Foothill Ranch, Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Tustin, CA.
