Person In Charge (PIC) Leavenworth
Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Provide customer service as defined by the employer within company policy.
- Handle emergencies, customer complaints, employee or customer accidents, and supervise all store personnel.
- Maintain familiarity with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise the sales floor to monitor service and product replenishment.
- Replace stock in displays surrounding the checkout area.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment within the store.
- Assist other cashiers with computer, register, and scanner problems.
- Perform basic office functions to assist customers and personnel.
- Operate an electronically scanning cash register to total customers’ final bills.
- Receive payment for customer purchases and count back correct change.
- Bag groceries in paper, canvas, or plastic bags and lift bags into grocery carts.
- Offer customer assistance with carry-out; perform this task if a Courtesy Clerk is unavailable.
- Complete close-of-day functions in the office as assigned.
- Count out-of-stock product and tills when other cashiers leave.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of all positions within the store.
- Ability to work independently.
- Desired: Prior experience as a clerk or manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervise all store employees during the absence of the Store Director or Assistant Store Director.

Vision
Use of peripheral vision and depth perception to move around the store and push carts in aisles. Near vision used to operate scanner, make change, and troubleshoot equipment.
Hearing & Speech
Converse with customers, provide service, and receive questions from employees and customers. Answer pages and telephone. Respond to customers and employees and use intercom/telephone.

Pay
The pay range is $17.38 to $19.71 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Starting rates will vary based on location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
