Permitting Inspection Technician

About the role

The Permitting Inspection Technician will interact directly with the installation manager, client, client representatives, and county permitting offices.

Responsibilities

• Submit permit applications
• Schedule inspections and meet with inspectors at time of inspection
• Communicate with the installation manager, sales, customer service, installation team, and client on permitting timeline
• Provide updated permit status reports weekly
• Stay up to date and knowledgeable regarding county submittal procedures, local electrical and fire code, and internal processes/procedures
• Make small repairs when needed to pass inspections

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Technical/Trade/Vocational school certificate in electronics/electrical is desirable
• Experience with MS Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
• Strong communication skills/customer service focus
• Experience reviewing floor plans and electrical drawings
• Knowledge of Building, Fire, and Life Safety codes

Requirements

• Must be able to meet and maintain various certifications, licenses and/or registrations, in accordance with applicable state laws and as required by the electronic security regulations in the state(s) worked
• Must be willing to participate in and pass the company's pre-employment screening process including a background investigation and drug screening
• Must continue to maintain a safe driving record and valid driver's license to fulfill any travel requirements of this position
