Permit Service Coordinator

Under general direction, plans, organizes and supervises the construction plan submittal, approval and permit issuance process for projects that impact or potentially impact Town property, including but not limited to street, sidewalk, and bicycle paths. Provides case management of construction, excavation, and storm water requests; supervises and coordinates the provision of efficient and effective service delivery to customers.

• Provide case management for construction, excavation, and storm water requests.
• Supervise and coordinate efficient and effective service delivery to customers.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five (5) years of experience in a municipal setting or in horizontal/vertical construction, roads, and/or utilities.
• Experience in construction supervision preferred.
• Contractor’s license certification desirable.
• Massachusetts Class D motor vehicle operator’s license required.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $51.36 (new hires) – $58.92 (employees with 20 years of service with the Town of Nantucket).

Schedule

Full-time.
