Permanent Part Time Firefighter/AEMT- B Shift

South Ogden City is accepting applications for a Part-Time Firefighter/AEMT. Firefighters provide a variety of entry-level firefighting duties related to protection of life and property by performing firefighting, emergency medical aid, and fire prevention/education duties. This position also performs minor maintenance efforts with firefighting and medical equipment, apparatus, and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform firefighting duties to protect life and property
• Provide emergency medical aid
• Conduct fire prevention and education activities
• Maintain firefighting and medical equipment, apparatus, and facilities

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• AEMT certification
• Hazmat Awareness and Operations certification
• Firefighter I and II certification
• One year of experience
• Valid driver’s license

Schedule

Required to work 96 hours per month on B-shift, Day 1.

Pay

Starting salary is $19.70 to $25.93 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Successful applicants will be required to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
