Firefighter, Part-Time

About the role

Fox Crossing Fire Department is creating an eligibility list for Part-Time Firefighters. Those hired will assist in providing coverage between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and around the clock on weekends from Friday evening through Monday morning (12-hour shifts). Applicants must work a minimum of four (4) shifts per month.

Responsibilities

• Fire and EMS emergency response
• Fire inspections
• Apparatus driving and operation (if certified)
• Public education
• Customer service

Requirements

• 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• State of Wisconsin Firefighter I certification
• State of Wisconsin Driver Operator – Pumper certification (desired)
• Current State of Wisconsin EMS First Responder Certification or higher
• Completion of NIMS 100, 200, and 700
