Firefighter - Paramedic/AEMT

About the role

This position involves firefighting and paramedic/aemt services. The department operates under a 48 hours on, 96 hours off schedule.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency calls involving medical emergencies, structure fires, and other incidents requiring immediate intervention.
• Provide advanced life support and basic life support to patients.
• Operate fire apparatus and equipment safely and effectively.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• A current, valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to random drug testing.
• Preferred Paramedic certification and Firefighter 1, Firefighter II Certification.
• Certifications from other states are considered if they meet the Utah Fire Service Certification System requirements.
• NREMT certification must be obtained by October 10, 2026.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work a 24-day cycle.
• Must be able to pass a background and drug test.

Benefits

• Paramedic 1: $69,888-$104,832/annually.
• AEMT 1: $60,834-$91,252/annually.
