Permanent Occupational Therapist
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join an 80-bed skilled nursing facility in beautiful Canon City, Colorado. This permanent opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend rotation, giving you the opportunity to provide meaningful patient care while maintaining a strong work-life balance.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals
- Provide skilled OT interventions to improve patients' independence and quality of life
- Address activities of daily living, functional mobility, strength, coordination, and other functional limitations
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and other interdisciplinary team members
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies
- Participate in care planning and contribute to positive patient outcomes
- Follow facility policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure
- Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
- Career-focused and patient-centered approach to care
- Able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
- SNF experience is preferred but not required
