Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join an 80-bed skilled nursing facility in beautiful Canon City, Colorado. This permanent opportunity offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend rotation, giving you the opportunity to provide meaningful patient care while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals
  • Provide skilled OT interventions to improve patients' independence and quality of life
  • Address activities of daily living, functional mobility, strength, coordination, and other functional limitations
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
  • Collaborate with nursing, rehabilitation, and other interdisciplinary team members
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies
  • Participate in care planning and contribute to positive patient outcomes
  • Follow facility policies, clinical standards, and applicable regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current Colorado Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
  • Career-focused and patient-centered approach to care
  • Able to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • SNF experience is preferred but not required
