About the Role

You will serve the public and work to make the roads in Ohio safer. You will attend training to obtain CDL licensure, if not already a licensed CDL holder. You will perform highway maintenance activities, including flagging, pothole patching, repairing guardrails, litter pickup, and mowing. You will perform snow and ice operations.

Pay

  • HMW1: $21.48
  • HT1: $22.29
  • Regular pay increases, with the 1st increase after 4 months

Schedule

  • Full-time, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Qualifications

Highway Maintenance Worker 1: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and in reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary. Must obtain Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction.

Highway Technician 1: Formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction and decimals, percentages, and fractions; ability to read, write, and speak common English vocabulary; 3 months of training or 3 months of experience in operation of basic equipment. Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with tanker endorsement without airbrake restriction. Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.

Note: If involved in driving motorized snow and ice control equipment, must also have valid commercial driver's license.
