Periop Transporter-3rd shift-VCCOC

Job Summary

Performs work activities of the Perioperative department, including transporting patients, equipment, and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Transports patients to various areas by stretcher, wheelchair, or bed.
• Delivers and retrieves transportation equipment as requested.
• Utilizes resources to ensure a safe and efficient patient throughput.
• Allocates and cleans relevant patient equipment, instruments, and supplies.
• Provides assistance in medical emergencies.
• Aids in preparing the room for procedures to meet special equipment needs.

Technical Capabilities

• Customer Service (Novice): Demonstrates the ability to influence customers, verify and clarify needs, respond to requests, and maintain customer service.
• Dispatch (Fundamental Awareness): Limited experience in dispatch-related tasks.
• Medical Equipment Knowledge (Fundamental Awareness): Basic awareness of medical equipment capabilities and their characteristics.
