About the Role
Cooper University Health Care and Cooper Medical School of Rowan University (CMSRU) are seeking a full-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Perinatologist to join their cohesive 7-member academic faculty division in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Department. This role involves outpatient consultative ultrasound services across 7 sites, inpatient coverage of a 9-bed antepartum unit, and weekly high-risk OB clinic sessions. The position also includes resident and student education, with opportunities to engage with CMSRU’s 112 students per year.
Cooper University Hospital serves as the major referral center for Southern New Jersey, handling approximately 150 maternal transports annually and performing 2,000 deliveries each year. The hospital features a 25-bed Level III NICU staffed by 6 full-time Neonatologists.
Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient consultative ultrasound services across 7 sites.
- Cover inpatient services for a 9-bed antepartum unit.
- Conduct high-risk OB clinic sessions (½ day each week).
- Educate and mentor residents and medical students.
- Engage in academic and scholarly activities through Cooper Medical School of Rowan University.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Perinatology.
