Perinatal Sonographer I - (PRN) -Maternal-Fetal Medicine

About the role

The Ultrasound Technologist operates radiological equipment to produce diagnostic images as directed by physicians, assists with specialized procedures, and provides high-quality patient care in a multifaceted clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as directed by physicians.
• Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure all equipment is cleaned and sanitized daily.
• Maintain examination rooms and work areas.
• Order and stock all ultrasound supplies.
• Work as a team member within the office to assist with patient triage, preauthorization, clerical support, and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain accurate department records, reports, and files as directed.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Document work processes as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program.
• Current certification as an Ultrasound Technologist.

Qualifications

• Greater than 3 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine experience or greater than 3 years of OB/GYN experience.

Schedule

PRN (as needed), 80 hours bi-weekly as scheduled.
