MFM Sonographer I - PRN - Perinatal Associates

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 80% of the work time and position patients for up to 20% of the work time.
• Ability to push, pull, and handle heavy equipment (up to 200 lbs.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (frequently up to 25 lbs., continuously up to 10 lbs.).
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and tasks requiring good manual dexterity.
• Ability to balance, bend, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, squat, reach, and lift (floor to waist and overhead) continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Visual acuity is sufficient to read printed materials and computer screens.
• Adequate hearing to communicate in person and by telephone and to hear alarms and normal speaking voices.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
• Ability to accurately document information by writing or typing.

Education

• Completion of a one (1) year ultrasound training program at an approved school of diagnostic imaging or a minimum of three to five (3-5) years of supervised on-the-job training.
• MFM experience required.

Licenses/Certifications

• Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification)
• NT Nuchal Translucency certification (required)
• RDMS OBGYN (required)
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Skills

• 3-5 years Demonstrated ability to perform advanced Doppler exams, including umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery and ductus venosus Doppler (Required).
• 3-5 years Demonstrated knowledge of performing 3D/4D exams (Required).
• 3-5 years Experienced in guiding physician during invasive procedures (Required).
• 3-5 years Prior experience in perinatal sonography (Required).
• 3-5 years proven skills in critical and conceptual thinking, thorough knowledge of fetal anatomy (Required).
