Perinatal Mental Health Therapist

About the role

The Ohel’s Early Childhood Mental Health Program seeks a compassionate and skilled LCSW, LMHC, or LCAT to provide specialized mental health services to pregnant and postpartum women at our Early Childhood Treatment Center in Far Rockaway.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for women experiencing perinatal and postpartum mental health disorders.
• Work with clients individually, in mother-infant dyads, and within the broader family system, including partners and other family members.
• Deliver presentations and treat individuals and couples experiencing life transitions, relationship challenges, PTSD, and other emotional or mental health concerns.

Requirements

• Masters degree and current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LCAT
• Minimum of two years of experience providing direct clinical treatment
• Experience working with women, families, and/or young children required
• Strong understanding of perinatal mental health, infant-parent attachment, and family systems
• Able to provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable about maternal mental health, attachment theory, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions

$42,000- $45,000
