Perinatal Education Instructor

About the role

The Perinatal Education Instructor provides instruction to new and expectant parents on a variety of perinatal health issues. This position requires a nurse with advanced training and skill in Maternal-Child Nursing or a specific allied health field who works with women of child-bearing ages.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction to new and expectant parents on perinatal health issues.
• Works with women of child-bearing ages.
• May require prior clinical and adult education experience.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Prior certification as an American Heart Association BLS instructor, or must become certified within the probationary period if teaching CPR.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nursing Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate License.

Qualifications

• Preferred International certification in childbirth education or related field.
